JAXAは日本初の月面着陸を目指す無人探査機「SLIM」が、着陸に向けて高度600キロの月の円軌道に投入されたと発表しました。
JAXA announced that SLIM, Japan's first unmanned probe to land on the Moon, has been inserted into a lunar circular orbit at an altitude of 600 km for landing.
JAXA（宇宙航空研究開発機構）が開発した無人探査機「SLIM」は現在、月の周回軌道上を飛行中です。　
SLIM, an unmanned spacecraft developed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency = JAXA, is currently in orbit around the Moon.
JAXAによりますと、「SLIM」は昨日夕方、進路を修正し、高度およそ600キロの円軌道に予定通り投入されたということです。　
According to JAXA, SLIM corrected its course yesterday evening and was injected into a circular orbit at an altitude of about 600 km as scheduled.
今後、段階的に降下し、20日午前0時ごろに高度15キロから最終降下を始めておよそ20分後に月面着陸に挑戦します。　
The descent will be made in stages, with the final descent beginning at an altitude of 15 kilometers at around midnight on the 20th, and the lunar landing attempt to be made approximately 20 minutes later.
着陸の誤差を他国の10分の1以下の100メートル以内とすることを目指していて、着陸に成功すれば世界で5カ国目になります。
The goal is to reduce the landing error to within 100 meters, less than one-tenth that of other countries, and if the landing is successful, it will be the fifth country in the world to do so.
