再生医療への応用で知られるiPS細胞を美容商品に活用する実証実験が年内にも始まります。

化粧品大手の「コーセー」がiPS細胞の関連企業などと行う実証実験では、利用者から採った血液などからiPS細胞を培養して複数の成分を抽出し、一人ひとりに合わせた美容商品を開発します。　
In a trial conducted by major cosmetics company Kose with companies related to iPS cells, they will culture iPS cells from users' blood, extract many ingredients and develop beauty products suitable for each individual.
コーセーによれば、個人のiPS細胞を利用した美容商品が作られるのは世界で類を見ないということです。　
According to Kose, this is the first time in the world that beauty products can be created using an individual's iPS cells.
実証の結果を踏まえて美容液などを商品化する計画で、価格は12万円相当になる見込みです。

iPS細胞自体は作製の過程で若返りがおきるため、しわやたるみなどの悩みを抱える人に対しアンチエイジング効果が期待されるとしています。
