皇后さまが日本赤十字社の名誉総裁として、看護師らに記章を贈られました。　
皇后さまは10日午後、東京都内のホテルを訪れ、顕著な功績をあげた世界各国の看護師らに贈られるフローレンス・ナイチンゲール記章の授与式に出席されました。
皇后さまは、日本赤十字社の名誉総裁で受章した2人に記章を手渡されました。　
藤田千代子さんは2019年、アフガニスタンで銃撃されて亡くなった中村哲さんと共にパキスタンでの支援活動などに貢献しました。　
また、苫米地則子さんはおととし2月、新型コロナの集団感染が起きたクルーズ船「ダイヤモンド・プリンセス号」で患者の対応にあたりました。　
授与式には名誉副総裁の秋篠宮妃紀子さまら皇族方も出席されました。
