本格的な雨の季節を前に東京・狛江市では多摩川が氾濫した想定で大規模な水防訓練が行われました。　
Before the rainy season, a large-scale flood prevention drill was held in Komae City, Tokyo, simulating flooding on the Tama River.
訓練は台風や大雨によって多摩川が氾濫した想定で行われ、市の職員や消防団員など約300人が参加しました。　
The exercise was conducted assuming the Tama River was flooded due to a storm or heavy rain and about 300 people, including city employees and fire department members, participated.
川に流された住民をヘリコプターで救助したり、浸水被害を想定して市民らが協力して行う排水作業や土嚢の設置など本番さながらの訓練が行われました。　
A practical training session was held, including rescuing people swept away by the river by helicopter and people working together to carry out drainage work and install sandbags to prevent flood damage.
1974年に多摩川の堤防が決壊し、建物19棟が流された水害から今年でちょうど50年の節目で、市民の水害への意識を高める狙いもあるということです。
This year marks exactly 50 years since the Tama River embankment burst in 1974, sweeping away 19 buildings, and the project aims to raise awareness of flood damage.
