総務省がまとめた統計によりますと、日本の80歳以上の人口が初めて10％を超え、10人に1人が80歳以上となりました。　
According to statistics compiled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the proportion of Japan's population aged 80 and over exceeded 10% for the first time, with one in 10 people aged 80 and over.
65歳以上の高齢者が総人口に占める割合は今月15日現在の推計で29.1％と、前の年より0.1ポイント増え過去最高となりました。　
As of the 15th of this month, the proportion of people aged 65 and over in the total population was estimated to be 29.1%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points over the previous year, the highest ever.
世界200の国と地域のなかで最も高くなっています。

80歳以上の割合は10.1％に達し、10人に1人が80歳以上となりました。　
The rate of people over 80 years old reached 10.1%, meaning that every 10 people are over 80 years old.
また、75歳以上が初めて2000万人を超えました。　
In addition, the number of people aged 75 and over exceeded 20 million for the first time.
一方で、高齢者の人口は1950年以降、増え続けていましたが今回、3623万人と前の年から1万人減り、初めて減少となりました。
On the other hand, the elderly population has continued to increase since 1950, but for the first time decreased to 36.23 million people, down 10,000 people from the previous year.
