To support the balance between childcare and work,
子どもが小学校に入学するまで、従業員に複数の働き方を選択肢として用意することを企業に義務付ける、育児・介護休業法などの改正案を閣議決定しました。　
The cabinet passed a bill to amend the Child Care and Family Leave Act, which would require companies to offer employees a variety of work options until their children enter primary school.
改正案では、子どもが3歳から小学校に入学するまでの間、従業員がテレワークや時短勤務など複数の選択肢から働き方を選べるようにすることを企業に義務付けます。　
The proposed amendment would require companies to allow employees to choose their work style from a variety of options, such as working remotely or shortening work hours, from the age of three until entering elementary school.
また、残業免除の申請期間を、現行の子どもが「3歳になるまで」から「小学校入学前まで」に延長します。　
In addition, the time to apply for exemption from overtime will be extended from the current period of "until the child turns 3 years old" to "until the child enters elementary school".
男女ともに仕事と育児を両立できるようにするため育休取得率の公表義務の対象を、従業員が「1000人を超える」企業から「300人を超える」企業に拡大します。　
To help both men and women balance work and childcare, the obligation to disclose childcare leave rates will be extended from companies with “over 1,000 employees” to companies with “over 300 employees”.
政府はこの改正案について、今国会での成立を目指しています。
The government is aiming to pass this amendment bill in the current National Assembly session.
