今回初めて赤十字の救護服を着ました。
This time, I put on the Red Crosses relief clothing for the first time.
被災地で活動している日本赤十字社の方と同じものだそうです。
This seems to be the same thing worn by those Red Cross workers currently taking action in the area struck by the disaster.
背中の赤十字マークはみんなが知っていて、とても力強く感じると思います。
Everyone probably knows the Red Cross mark on the back, which I think is a very powerful symbol.
誰かのために助けになってあげようという若い人達が、どんどん増えてほしいです。
We want the number of young people who want to help people to rapidly increase.
みんな、一緒に行動しましょう！

撮影の時は、やっぱりすごい緊張感に溢れていて、
During the shooting, certainly, I was overflowing with nerves,
この救護服もいつもの衣装とは全く違った感じで、
And these relief clothes also feels completely different from my usual clothing,
そして日本赤十字社さんということで、いつもより本当にすごく緊張しましたね。
And then being with the Japan Red Cross, I was much more nervous than usual.
まあ、みんなすごい真剣な表情だったので、
Well, everyone had such a serious expression,
いつものAKB48 とは違った新しい一面が出ているんじゃないかなと思います。
"Isn't this a new side of AKB48 coming out?" I thought.
やっぱり震災直後はAKB48 としても、
Certainly, immediately following the earthquake, as an AKB48 member,
何が出来るのか、どう活動していこうかっていうすごい悩んだ時期もあったんですけど、
I wondered what I could do, what action I should take--there was a time when I worried about that a lot, but
まあこうして日本赤十字社さんのオフィシャルメッセンジャーになったということで、
well, like that, I became the official messenger of the Japan Red Cross,
やっぱり私達なりにも出来ることがあるんだなと実感しつつも、
and certainly, in our own style, there are things that we can do personally,
私達のことを、見て、元気になってくださる方が少しでもいたら、嬉しいなと思っています。
Watch us, and if there is at least one person we can cheer up, I'll be happy too.
