昨日、JR京都駅で不審物がみつかり、ホームが封鎖されるなど、一時騒然となりました。　
Yesterday, a suspicious object was found at JR Kyoto Station, causing a temporary commotion that caused the station platform to be blocked.
昨日午後4時20分ごろ、JR京都駅の駅員から「不審物があります。化学薬品かもしれません」と110番通報がありました。　
At around 4:20 pm yesterday, a station employee at JR Kyoto Station called 110 and said, "There is a suspicious object."
警察によりますと、列車の網棚にペンで大きく「四塩化一黄酸」と手書きされたリュックサックが置かれていたということです。　
According to police, a backpack found on the train rack had the words “monochlorotic acid” written in large letters with a pen.
中身は服や下着などのみで、危険なものは入っていませんでした。　
There were no dangerous items inside, just clothes and underwear.
その後、警察は持ち主の男性を特定し、悪意はないことが分かったとし、遺失物として返還したということです。　
Police later identified the owner, realized there was no malicious intent, and returned the object as lost property.
これによりJR京都線や琵琶湖線などが1時間半ほどにわたって運転見合わせとなり、約8万5000人に影響がでました。
As a result, operations on the JR Kyoto Line and Biwako Line were suspended for about an hour and a half, affecting about 85,000 people.
