金ぴかのやかん
むかしむかし、
あるお寺の床下に、タヌキが住んでいました。
このタヌキは頭の毛がうすい事から
『はげダヌキ』と呼ばれていたのですが、何とこのはげダヌキは人助けが大好きなのです。
ある年の暮れの事、
はげダヌキがお寺の近くのとうふ屋へ油揚げをもらいに行くと、とうふ屋の主人が
ため息をついていました。
「困ったな。
こうもお金がなくては、
とうふをつくる豆も買えない」
これを聞いたはげダヌキは、とうふ屋の主人に言いました。
「心配せずとも大丈夫。
いつもおいしい油揚げをいただいている恩返しに、おいらが何とかしましょう」
そしてはげダヌキは、きんぴかのやかんに化けて自分を売るように言ったのです。
やかんは間もなく、通りかかった金持ちの旦那に買い取られました。
「これは良い買い物をした。
全く素晴らしいやかんだ。
もっとみがけば、もっと光るかもしれんぞ」
だんなはさっそく、やかんをみがき始めました。
やかんに化けていたはげダヌキは、くすぐったいやら痛いやら。
でも、ばれてはいけないので、じっと我慢していると、
みがかれすぎて、ただでさえうすい頭の毛をツルツルにされてしまいました。
ああっ、
大切な頭の毛が・・・
これ以上みがかれてはたまらないので、はげダヌキは旦那が手を離したすきに逃げ出して、
お寺の床下に隠れました。
「ああ、
こんなツルツル頭では、恥ずかしくてどこにも行けないや。
でも、
とうふ屋に恩返しが出来て良かった、
良かった」
それからもはげダヌキは人助けを続けて、
人々に大切にされたと言う事です。
