スターバックスコーヒージャパンは来年1月以降、プラスチックストローから紙製のストローに順次、切り替えると発表しました。
Starbucks Coffee Japan has announced that it will switch from using plastic straws to paper straws from January next year.
3月までには1500店以上の国内すべての店舗が紙製のストローになります。
By March, more than 1500 stores in Japan will switch to use paper straws.
なお、太い口径のストローは来年5月以降に順次、切り替えられます。
In addition, from May next year large diameter straws will be replaced.
スターバックスではこれらの変更によって年間約2億本のプラスチックストローの削減につながるとしています。
Starbucks believes that this change will reduce about 200 million plastic straws per year.
去年、アメリカで切り替えを発表したことに伴う措置で、包み紙には持続可能な未来に向けた5つのメッセージが記されるということです。
Last year, together with the announcement to replace paper straws in America, the paper also contained 5 messages about a sustainable future.
