悠仁さまは佳子さまと東京・渋谷区で行われた「少年の主張全国大会」を訪れて拍手のなか、会場に入られました。
Prince Hisahito and Princess Kako attended the Japan Youth Advocacy Conference held in Shibuya ward, Tokyo, and they entered the hall in the applause of everyone.
この大会では地方予選で選ばれた中学生12人が日々の生活で感じた思いや将来についてスピーチします。
At the conference, 12 junior high school students, who were selected through local qualifiers, expressed their thoughts and feelings about daily and future life.
中学1年の悠仁さまは今回、初めての出席です。
This is the first time Prince Hisahito, a first-year junior high school student, attended this conference.
時折、資料を見ながら熱心にスピーチを聞かれました。
Sometimes, the Prince looked at the document and listened to the speeches excitedly.
悠仁さまは学校で自分の視覚障害について説明したという男子生徒に「どのような思いでスピーチしたのですか」と話されたということです。
A blind male student, who spoke about his difficulties at school, also asked Prince Hisahito "What do you think about my speech?"
