脱炭素社会の実現に向けて、新築の住宅に断熱性能などの「省エネ基準」を守るよう義務付ける改正内容を盛り込んだ法律が成立しました。
Towards the realization of a carbon-free society, a law has been enacted that includes amendments that require newly built homes to comply with "energy-saving standards" such as insulation performance.
改正法では2025年度から住宅を含むすべての新築の建物に断熱材の厚さや窓の構造などを定めた「省エネ基準」を守るよう義務付けます。　
From 2025, the revised law will require all new buildings, including residential ones, to comply with "energy efficiency standards" that dictate the thickness of insulation and the structure of windows.
既存の住宅についても省エネ対策の工事の際に利用できる低金利の融資制度を新設します。　
They will also set up a new low-interest loan system that can be used to build energy-saving measures for existing homes.
政府は2050年までに温室効果ガスの排出量を実質ゼロにする目標を掲げています。
The government has set a target of virtually zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
建築分野はエネルギー需要のおよそ3割を占めますが、他国に比べて住宅の断熱性能が劣っているとも指摘されています。
Construction sector accounts for about 30% of energy demand, but it is also shown that the insulation performance of houses is worse than in other countries.
政府は改正法で省エネ対策を進める考えです。
The government intends to promote energy conservation measures under the revised law.
