ロシアのオリンピック委員会は今年の東京大会の開催について、「安全の面からも適切だ」として全面的に賛同する方針を表明しました。　
The Russian Olympic Committee announced that it fully supports hosting this year's Tokyo Olympics, saying it is "appropriate in terms of safety".
「東京五輪を開催するという組織委とIOCの判断は安全面でも論理的で適切で正しい」　
"The decision of the Organizing Committee and the IOC to hold the Tokyo Olympic is reasonable, appropriate and correct in terms of safety."
1日に選手らを集めて開かれたイベントで、ポズドニャコフ会長は「東京オリンピックの開催に疑問は抱いていない」と断言しました。　
At an event gathering athletes held on the 1st, President Pozdonyakov stated, "I have no doubt that the Tokyo Olympic will be held."
また、IOC（国際オリンピック委員会）のバッハ会長もビデオメッセージを寄せ、「我々はより一層団結する必要がある」と訴えました。　
Bach, president of the IOC (International Olympic Committee), also sent a video message, said that "We need to work together more and more".
一方、ポズドニャコフ会長は4月に国後島で合宿をして物議を醸したロシアのサーフィンの選手団について、再び北方領土で練習を行う可能性があることを明らかにしました。
On the other hand, regarding the controversial Russian surfing team that had a training camp on the island of Kunashiri in April, president Pozdonyakov said they would probably do it again in the Northern Territory.
